About the Role

You will be an integral part of our team reporting directly to the Director and will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of clients from bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns for your clients.
  • Preparation of sole trader, partnership, company/LLP accounts, tax returns, VAT returns
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries.
  • Presenting statutory year end accounts and tax returns for manager review.
  • Assisting with the setting up of clients on Xero and any associated apps

Person specification

Essential

    • ACA/ACCA/AAT part-qualified
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in an accountancy practice
    • Working knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, statutory accounts and management accounts
    • An interest or relevant experience with cloud accounting systems and associated apps (e.g. Xero, Dext, Futrli etc.).
    • Good knowledge of main accounting systems in the marketplace (e.g Xero, Quickbooks. Sage etc)
    • Good attention to detail and time management skills.
    • Demonstrate good listening and questioning skills in dealing with clients
    • Ability to work to deadlines
    • Ability to communicate openly and build up excellent relationships with clients
